Versace Fashion Collection Satchel

This one reminded me of Bottega Veneta so much that I really liked it from the first sight. The resemblence is, however, there only at the very first glance. Giving it a bit more attention, the differences are more than easy to spot. Bottega Veneta wouldn’t use that amount of gold toned hardware on a bag of their own, nor that buckled belt which encircles the top, but there is something Bottega Veneta-ish to it. I’m always a bit afraid, in a strange way, whenever I’m about to take a look at a Versace handbag because I never know what to expect. The problem isn’t them being unpredictable, it’s just that their style isn’t always preceivable. This one doesn’t fit the usual Versace type of bags, and maybe that’s the reason I like it. It’s not like I’m head over heals with it, but I like it enough to let you know.

First of all, this satchel shaped bag is just the right size, and as I said already, it is well proportined and the top handle isn’t too big. Lambskin is implemented in a nice way, making the bag look more luxurious and richer. As for the polished gold tone hardware, it is also a bit overdone - I can handle it, but anything more would be hard to endure.

I am glad to say that I like this bag, not in a head over heals kind of way, more like in a cool headed way…

Versace “Embroidered Shoulder Bag”

Were you ever in a mood for something a bit different then you would normally go for? Is there anything you kind of like even if that doesn’t fit your style or personality? Did you ever catch yourself finding a person who is totally different from you, somehow more than an acceptable companion? Get the idea?

Those kinds of situations can be more than confusing, because you don’t always know what to think of them. That’s just what’s happening to me right know so lets be honest. I’m not much of a Versace handbags fan. I’m not much of an edgy bagddict or edgy when it comes to fashion in any way, but from time to time I do wish to be a bit bolder.

Something is certain, not everyone can afford being reckless. I’m thinking about it pretty much recently, in fact ever since I’ve seen Louis vuitton - Richard Prince collaboration. The conclusion I came to when thinking about it is that I would like to have every one of that bags in my collection. I’m not putting them side by side to Hermes Birkin, LV Griet, Chanel 2.55 and those kind of bags, but there deffinitely is something about being different and extravagant. That goes for this Versace too. It’s not as weird and different, but it definitely isn’t a classic that suits everyones taste.

We’ve seen so much of patent this year that we most likely won’t be craving for it for some time, we can definitely say this was a patent-year. Due to the tendency towards patent, we’ve been witnesses of, on one side beautiful, and on the other side, horrid accessories, and deffinitely found at least a few of patent leather handbags this year that are now in our collection.

Here we have a patent leather handbag coming from house of Versace, which is predictable when it comes to accessories. We know what kind of style to expect - irrational, visionary and excentric. When it comes to this handbag I’m not sure what to tell you. I felt attraction for immediately but decided to pass on it. Then something made me take another look and then I realized I couldn’t say no to, if nothing else at least posting about it. There is something to it, but what is it? I’m really confused, you know?!

I can’t see myself making this my every day bag, matching outfits to it like I do with all my newcomers. I can imagine having it somewhere knowing that I have it if the right opportunity for bringing it out comes up. Because it isn’t ugly or repulsive, it can make it’s way to the group of usable accessories. The only thing you have to make sure is that you don’t try to accessorize it to, for an example, a fur coat… That would be way too much. But, a leather jacket, dark trousers… I think that could work…

Anyway… take your time, maybe you’ll get to like it eventually because this isn’t a bag that hasn’t got any fans, more like one that has a certain group of them somewhere out there.

Versace “Large Metallic Hobo Bag”

Uh oh… We have a situation… MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY… I think I might have found a Versace bag that I actually really like. I can’t remember when was the last time I’ve seen a handbag coming from Versace that excited me in a good way. I’m aware of my bad memory, but when it comes to bags my mind is working perfectly and I know that this belongs to a rare-category if I may say.

The shape is great and you probably knew I was going to say that if you payed any attention on my observations lately because I made it very clear how much I love hobos. This one remindes me of Tanner Krolle Sudie from the other day. See the resemblence with the leather band encircling and gathering the bag? This one comes with a buckle on a band allowing you to expand the interior by unbuckling it which sometimes comes in handy.

It’s soft and comfy looking as hobos usually do, so that’s nothing new, but the thing I like the most is the gunmetal color of this bag which is perfect for autumn/winter season especially because it’s a bit shiny which almost always goes great with slightly grained leather, of course if it’s used properly and not overdone.

Shoulder straps dropping 8.5″ are perfect and just right for carrying the bag, as a top handle or as a shoulder bag, which is very important as I already said. If they were larger, the bag wouldn’t be as compact as it is now and that’s very important imho.

As for the details, you have polished silver hardware on the shoulder chains which fit the color of the bag perfectly and a silver metal and acrylic Medusa medallion just to be sure you don’t make a mistake and think this isn’t a Versace
