Love the color, hate the bag… I hate the trashy looking picture as well… No really, this bag is an insult for bags, and nothing can make me change my mind. The only thing about this bag that’s right is the name… It really looks like it’s made of the leftovers of boxing shorts. I mean, even a girlfight fanatic wouldn’t carry this around, or am I wrong? In the sea of bags of all kinds, shapes and colors, there are many items much more worthy of spending $680 on them than this one. Who would buy this? Hahaha… And it actually has stripes on it’s sides… Imagine seeing your boyfriend mistaking it for his shorts and trying to get into it. And let me tell you, the satin will get torn in that case… Maybe this bag really was a pair boxing shorts somewhere in the past… Ahhh…

As I said it’s made of satin and the open top reveales mesh lined interior featured with center and side zipped pocket.

Burberry “Cutout Drawstring Shopper”

Cough… You don’t want to be seen with this one. No no… Even though I am a Burberry fan, that doesn’t mean I don’t have eyes and a sense of style. I mean, this kind of mash up can never look good in my eyes. I’ve said it already: freshening up a well proven shape and pattern, such as the Burberry check, with some creative play is usually a good idea, but for the love of God, don’t push it over the edge.

Remember how we loved Burberry Metallic Mesh Tote? That’s a good example of how to do it right, this one, on the other hand, is not. You cannot simply take a pattern as delicate and established as the Burrbery check and mix it with shaped cutouts wich show the underlying material… I mean you can, it’s just that I won’t buy it. They made a bag which is neither innovative nor intriguing - I actually find it rather repulsive. The thing that makes it even worse is that the bag is nicely shaped and looks really practical. Somewhere on its way to becoming a fug it had real potential, which unfortunately can’t be recovered anymore, no matter what you do. It’s a real shame because it would look great with the drawstring corseted or loosened.

As for the interior features - it has a zip, a cell and a PDA pocket to help you arrange your essentials.

All in all, wait and I’ll find a better deal for you, and be more than pleased to suggest it…

Michael Kors “Shoulder Tote”

I like them simple and I like them white… Yes, you got it right! I Loooove this bag. Look at the shape, the perfect size and the beautiful alluring white leather just inviting you to touch it, to grab it and to never let go of it. It is simply irresistible - at least to me. The designers over at Michael Kors camp sure have a way of getting to me, since this is the second time in short period that I’ve chosen to write about a white Michael Kors bag. I like this one even better than I liked the last one. It has a special summery touch to it, and I don’t know what it is about that little piece of gold toned hardware on the tassel, but I find it absolutely adorable!

As always, the rational part of my brain is looking at the bag from more than one angle. That means I’ve paid attention to the wearability factor and the durability of both the materials and the style this bag reflects, and with all this in mind my original verdict stands - it’s a must have. Of course this kind of bags require extra care due to the white color and the sensitive leather, but if you are ready to give it the care and the attention it needs, this one will carry you throughout many many years and seasons to come.

Vivienne Westwood “Signature Print Shopper”

It’s the first bag coming from Viviene Westwood to be featured on our site. You’ll have to agree that she isn’t the first on the list of designers you’ll think of when you decide to look for a new bag, but it’s the gems like this one that make a name stick in my mind.

This one sure will sure direct people’s attention your way no matter where you show up, and judging by its looks, I think it will continue doing that for at least few more years to come. It’s a top handle summery-feel canvas shopper, very practical and handy like all bags of that kind, but with a unique feel which pushed it right onto my to-buy list. Summer is a special season because it gives us an opportunity to release our spirits and enjoy wearing vivacious outfits and carrying bags that reflect the happy and relaxed mood that summer brings. You’ll get away with various amazing and incredible fashion combinations and details which wouldn’t work nearly as well during, for example, autumn or winter. This is the card which Viviene Westwood decided to play and it is a definite hit. It looks so good, it is hard not to want it around to match your daytime summer outfits

Anyway, as I already said, the bag is made in durable ivory canvas with a vivid red signature detail on it and a large front pocket. Interior is featured with a zip pocket and closed with stud fastening. Purrrrfect for a dreamy summer day…. Mmmmmm…..

The Saks Fifth Avenue online store presented today it’s “Fashion in action” web video catalog which takes online clothing and accessory shopping to a completely new level. Introduced featuring the top 17 of the season’s top contemporary looks as selected by Saks, this innovative feature allows shoppers to see the styles “flutter, drape, wrap and whirl on models without ever trying them on”. Along with the opportunity to see how the items actually look when worn or carried, the background audio commentary offers additional styling suggestions and the items presented in each “look” can be purchased by simply clicking the image.

I must say I really like this innovation as I have been annoyed what seems to be a million times by not being able to see how a bag or a piece of clothing would actually look in real life. Some stores seem to completely disregard the fact that people want to see how a bag looks when carried by a live person since sizes can be decieving. Regardless of how much attention and effort is put into making the photos and descriptions of items offered through a web store as accurate and informative as they can be, seeing a video with a live model is the closest that online shopping can currently get to real life shopping, and while this might not have as much impact on shopping for bags as it does on shopping for clothing, being able to see how a bag looks when carried is a welcome change and I really wish more online retailers will follow suit.

When it comes to shoes, Jimmy Choo is among my favorite brands, and I am really glad to see the beautiful SS08 collection pieces available at Saks.com. My favourite pair is there as well - the Allena thong sandals. I never quite liked how my feet looked in flip-flops. Not that there is anything wrong with my feet, I just didn’t like the way they looked. Take a look at this bag and tell me is it possible not to like it?! Ofcourse it isn’t! The combination of exotic python skin in a vibrating green color and the simple tote shape is a perfect match. Not to mention the price which more than acceptable for this kind of a bag.

Just imagine how good it would look as a summer daytime accessory. I wouldn’t part from it, not even for a second. It can work for the night also, just not so well. As I mentioned, it is made of python skin with microfibre multicolor lined interior featured with zip, blackberry and cell pockets.

The open top is partialy closed with magnetic snap closure but the depth of the bag alone is making the things inside safe enough.
