Longchamp “Lumiere Tropicale Tote”

Zoe will hate me when she sees that I’ve covered this bag
. She’s the Longchamp fan here at Bagddicted, and I covered this one before she had a chance to do it - she’s not gonna be too happy, I can tell you that much. Anyway, It’s not like I don’t like Longchamp designs, it’s just that Zoe and I have our attention focused on different types of bags so I usually don’t focus on what she does. At least I know she’ll back me up on this one because I have never heard her talking about a Longchamp bag in a negative context. She recognized the value and the unique style of Longchamp bags a long time ago and has been a fan of theirs ever since. She could easily have been the one who started the trend of covering Longchamp handbags among blogs with the same topic as ours. I havent’s seen so many Longchamp bags being written about before she started covering them and believe me, I have been studying every single bag blog out there obsessively since the first ones popped up.
Anyhow, what made me stop and stare at this bag are the multicolor stripes implemented beautifuly on a simple Longchamp tote design. That is what set me off originaly, and then come the practicality of this type of bags and the durability of the canvas which every Longchamp bag boasts. The signature closure with a press stud secures the roomy interior featured with one zip and one cell phone pocket. Double shoulder straps are of a 8″ drop so there’s no question about how it will fit your shoulder. All in all, at this price and being this big, stylish and durable you should definitely consider it.

Longchamp “Rival / Rodeo Luxe Shopper”

Ok ladies, this is confusing me a bit… On Nordstrom.com this bag is called Rodeo Luxe, and on the official Longchamp site it is called Rival tote. I decided to include both names in the title as to prevent any confusion… It is enough that I got confused, you do not have to. As I said yesterday, you can expect a lot of Longchamp posts from me, and I am keeping my word.
I already mentioned how I am willing to overlook the patent leather if the bag in question fits all my other criteria for SS bags, and this bag is definitely worth it. I do have to admit that I was in a dillema, as there are versions of this bag that are not made of patent leather, but I loved this color so much I decided to go for the violet patent version of Rival in the end. It is simply bagalicious.. That would be the best word to describe the stunning look of this bag. It is spacious, has a whole bunch of pockets (including the zipped pocket on the front of the bag) and a magnetic closure, which combined result in a great daytime bag, you will be able to fit almost anything you want into it without any problems.
The gusseted sides and the zipper details on the front, along with the zipped pocket give this bag a highly modern, youthful feel, which I find simply irresistable. The only problem with this particular version is the patent, which is not going to last for too long, if you ask me. So you can either choose to go with a fabulous color, but risk having to leave this beauty in you closet for a while, or go for the plain leather version which comes in violet, but be certain you will be able to pull it out of your closet whenever you wish..
If you ask me, go for the better color, this calf leather bag is priced at under $1,000.00 and you never know how far will the patent trend go.

Longchamp “Légende Clutch”

Before I even start telling you how much I love this clutch, I have to say that I am really impressed with the Longchamp’s official website new looks. Now it looks very clean and is way more user friendly than it was before, I was very irritated by their last website design and navigation and I’m really glad they revamped it. Along with the new website, there are so many new beautiful bags available. I think Tina might start calling me a Longchamp addict, as opposed to my current nickname, the Prada addict.
Well, let me move on to the clutch.. As you can see, it simply stunning. Apart from the zipped pocket on the front, the exterior is very simple and ridden of excess details, which gives it a very clean, elegant look (which is the kind of look you can mix with practically anything). The Légende clutch is a perfect choice for all the occasions when you don’t want your bag to turn heads, but want it to shine nontheless.
It is available in a wide palette of colors - orange, yellow, green, pebble, night blue, black and finally, my favourite, beige. These are made of calfskin leather trimmed with cowhide leather, while the other version is made of patent leather and available in black, gold and white. I actually like the white patent version, not only because it reminds me of the upcomming summer days, but also for another reason… See, when I first saw the white version I didn’t realize that it was a patent leather bag and was thinking about how easily it would get stained, after learning it was patent I was kind of relieved, which I found funny because I thought I was sick of patent.
Ok, so my favourite one is definitely the beige one! It will lift your outfit, it does not look too “serious” and you will not have to worry that much about getting it dirty. Well, all I can really say is that I love it and that I am so happy that I found it.

Longchamp The Sporty “Le Pliage Club”

When I did the post about the Le Pliage Tote, I mentioned that I own a tote from that line but in a sportier version. Now I spotted it on their official website and I wanted to cover those sportier versions as well here on Bagddicted. As I mentioned back then, the only issue I have with this bag is the open top.
All the characteristics are practically the same as the regular Le Pliage line, except for the numbers embroidered on the front of the bags which are meant to represent the numbers associated with American Universities. This gives these bags a more playful and laid back look which makes them prefect to be used as “Ill be out for the whole day, rushing around” bags and they are perfect for those situations. But I can’t imagine someone going to work with one of these, it’s definately not the serious type of bag.. Maybe, but just maybe with one of those that have a zip top closure, but that is iffy as well.

These cuties come in various colors but my favourites are definitely grey and parme. There are several versions of the sporty Le Pliage - choose from: the tote with shoulder length handles, the top handle tote or the top handle open top handbag. There is also a smaller version of Le Pliage top handle tote, but I like it in the bigger size much more so I wouldn’t even consider the smaller one.
The only thing is, I couldn’t find any info on the prices, not even on the official Longchamp website (which I really cannot understand).

the top handle tote 12″ x 11″ x 8″
the shoulder tote 10″ x 10″ x 5,5″

Longchamp “Quadrille Medium Signature Shopper”

I loved the Longchamp Le Pliage club tote, as did hundreds of you ladies out there who couldn’t resist getting this simple and practical beauty. However, this one I do not like. While this tote looks almost exactly the same as the Le Pliage, I simply cannot get over the signature print, it just doesn’t look as good as Le Pliage does. Also, the Le Pliage has more of a practical function, being water resistant and designed the way it is, it is not supposed to look classy. The thing I do not quite get is why they tried to recycle a perfectly good design into something it was never meant to be. These few details definitely do not make it look classy, since all other features impose a completely different look, one I actually liked.
The leather trims with studs which are in contrast to the leather - I don’t know what to say except that it just does not look good. Maybe it could pass if the canvas was left plain instead of slapping that signature print on it, but in this case it just looks ovedone. The black canvas version seems like the best choice if you simply cannot skip on this bag because black always helps make details more subtle, which is good in this case. The moka and the silver versions emphasize the printed canvas even more, creating a look I don’t like.
If you like this particular bag, go ahead and make yourself happy, but if it’s only the shape and the overall design that has gotten you interested, I suggest you go for the Le Pliage club tote, since it looks almost exactly like this one but without the “I’m trying to be something I’m not” feel.

Longchamp “Le Pliage Club Tote”

It seems that everybody is crazy about the Longchamp Le Pliage Club lately. I own a bag from that collection myself, but the sporty top handle version though, with numbers stitched on the front of the bag and I love it. The only thing that gets in the way a bit is the fact that is has no zip closure so it is not the safest place to put your credit cards or keys in, but if you are not using public transportation, you will be safe.
But anyhow, I wanted to write a post about a certain bag from this line, and it is the Le Pliage tote.
This is a convinient bag for all the busy ladies doing lots of rushing around town on a daily basis. It has long handles so you can carry it on your shoulder or as a top handle bag, whichever suits you better. The biggest plus is the zip top closure that secures everything you carry with you. The top of the bag is very wide and thus accessible if left open. It is a very simple synthetic bag decorated with cowhide leather and completely foldable, which is another big plus. The biggest of all the pluses is definitely the fact that it is waterproof, so you will have one thing less to worry about if you get caught somewhere in the open in the midst of a summer storm without an umbrella with you. You can also clean it very easily since it is synthetic, it takes neutral soap and some water to clean any stains, as recomended on the official site.
You can choose from a range of 12 colors, out of which I found the follownig most appealing: blue, parme, taupe and grey. You can also create your own, customized Le Pliage bag. There are four fun and easy steps and voila!, you will have the Le Pliage no one else has. There are 6 sizes you can choose from, starting from smallest: porte monnaie, pochette, Sac xsmall, Sac small, Sac medium and Sac large. After you have chosen the size you prefer, you can choose wheather you’d like a 4″ or a 10″ handle drop. I suggest the 10″ drop, it is more convienient and better looking if you ask me. Then comes the fun step, you are about to choose the colors for your bag. Choose from 15 colors the main and the stripe color of your bag and the metallic accesories finishings(golden, nickel or bronze). You can also have your initials embossed on the flap or you may like an embriodery on the front and you can have it gift wrapped as well.
