Jimmy Choo “Metallic Suede Carissa” and a couple of Jimmy Choo shoes as well

I just love the Carissa clutch. I lilked it in the AW version and I simply love it in this SS08 look. After I went through the SS08 brochure, I was speachless - the new spring/summer shoes are simply too good to be true. I will dedicate the last part of my post to them because I can’t let them pass unnoticed.
Enough with the shoe collection though, this post is primarily about the Carissa clutch. It is one of the clutches which fit the oversized category, and the size suits it perfectly. It wouldn’t have had such a strong impact on me if it was any smaller than it actually is. What I particularly like about Carissa is that it does not stand out too much, but it won’t be unnoticed either. I think in this case both you and the Carissa get the same amount of attention, a very admirable quality. It has a typical clutch shape, but the diagonal flap along with the tassle detail give Carissa that edge we all look for in a bag.
I have this thing about tassles, I love playing with them, I got myself a kombolói in Greece and I attached it to one of my bags so I can have something to play with whenever I feel like it. The tassles on the Carissa have that special appeal to me and they do a fabulous job spicing up the look of the bag. Carissa is featured with a zip top closure keeping all your stuff secure. That wouldn’t be the case if it was featured with a flap closure only.
Me like!

Now I will say something about the Jimmy Choo SS08 shoe collection. I find most of the shoes amazing, but I will mention the ones I liked the most. I fell in love with the Allena flat sandals immediately, and there is no stopping me from having them whatsoever. I didn’t expect the spartan trend, which was very live last year, would still be around this summer and I must admit that I am delighted to see it again since I love how they look on me.
I also wanted to mention the Aby Elaphe snake and patent sandal, featured on the cover of the brosure along with the white nappa Saba and I must say they make the combination to die for!
And the third, but definitely not the least, are the Azara Elaphe snake sandals. I get goosebumps every time I see them, and they make your feet look divine! I usually wouldn’t even notice a green pair of shoes, but there is something about Azara in that color and material with gold details that looks fabulous. Although I am not sure I wouldn’t pick the black ones, if they had them, over the green pair. Black is always black, but on the other hand, there is something about the green pair that lures you into staring at them.

Jimmy Choo “Suede Ramona and XL Suede Ramona”
I have already written a post about Jimmy Choo’s Ramona and this is an update on what Ramona looks like this spring. Ramona you already know is now also available in red and tan suede. The bright red suede one is definitely for the braver girls out there, but that thought obviously crossed the designers’ mind because they also made a more subtle, tan version. The fact that the new spring versions are in suede makes them look more softer and thus more comfortable than the fall/winter versions.
But there is another addition to the Ramona familiy. It is called Ramona XL. If you are guessing that this version is oversized, you are guessing right.
The drawstring straps are also thicker and in a different color, making a nice contrast to the tan suede on the rest of the bag. I was very glad to see this inovation from Jimmy Choo, because it assures me that they will not be forgetting about Ramona any time soon and that there are more versions and different ideas comming our way.
Personally, I like the original Ramona better because it looks more elegant and chic to me, but the renowed version is also beautiful, eventhough it looks more rough. It just not does not reflect the exact same vibe as the original Ramona does, which does not make it look any worse, just different.
SIZE: suede Ramona 16″l x 11″h x 11″w
XL suede Ramona 19″l x 14″h x 14″w

XL suede Ramona $2,950.00 both available @ JimmyChoo.com

Jimmy Choo “Saba”

Hello everyone, I am back from a trip and you will be seeing more of my posts again, I haven’t forgotten about you bagddicts and I believe Tina was taking care of your daily fixes whenever it was possible!
For my first post I have chosen the Jimmy Choo Saba, one of the pleasant surprises the designers are bringing this spring.
I first saw this beauty on the cover of the Jimmy Choo SS08 catalogue, and now it is available online as well. The oversized bags trend is still present at Jimmy Choo, but they took it to a higher level with the African inspired bongles attached to the shoulder strap. On the official Jimmy Choo they are predicting this fabulous bag to be one of the IT bags of the season, and I do not see any reason to think otherwise.
I personally thik this SS season we will be seeing more and more of African/ethnic themed accessories and details and I can’t wait to get my hands on all of them, since I really like that kind of a look. There is something wild and fiery to it, and that is exactly what it did to this bag, but in a very profound way.
Saba is a spacious shoulder bag available in black or white nappa leather, chocolate or black suede, and the third and the most interesting and eye catching version of Saba, is the zebra print pony, which supports my prediction about the African vibes in the fashion industry this spring and summer. Although I love the printed Saba, I am not sure if would I neccessarily go with it and I am not exactly sure why. Maybe it’s because I may have some trouble combining it with my usual style, or maybe it’s something else, I do not know, I am really torn between the extravagant print and the elegant, but still striking nappa leather. One thing is sure, you can’t go wrong with either, pick the one which is more you.
I didn’t praticularly like the suede versions, and I also think the large Saba is the size to go for, since the medium size didn’t leave half the impression on me that the large Saba did. As for the features, Saba has a magnetic closure, suede lining and one big zipped and slip pockets.

Jimmy Choo “Cruise 07 Collection Ramona”

I must admit I fell in love with Ramona about a year ago. I fell in love with the shape, size, practically everything except the prints. I couldn’t find the print which would suit me best, which would suit my liking Ramona. There would always be something I would like to change, be it the snake trim, biker leather.. I just couldn’t find the right one for me. But in Jimmy Choo Cruise 07 collection, I actually found a few Ramonas I really liked, and would have to make a decision which one to get.
The first Ramona that caught my attention was the soft patent leather one. In most cases I do not like how the gold hardware goes along with black leather, but in this case it looks just right. I also liked the white patent leather Ramona, which is another usual no for me, but here it worked, and I liked it even more then the black patent Ramona. I most definitely could imagine myself carrying it on a warm sunny day - beautiful.
The other Ramona that I noticed was the perforated metallic suede Ramona. As opposed to the above mentioned elegant Ramona, this one seems more edgy, more energetic. This version comes in gold only and features additional gold studs on the sides and on the extended tab with the push lock closure giving the bag, along with perforated effect, that edge I was talking about.
Finding these adorable Ramonas made me very happy because, at last, they made not one, but three versions of Ramona bags which I completely adore, making me finally put them on my wish list!
