Jean Paul Gaultier “Satin Boxing Shopper”

Love the color, hate the bag… I hate the trashy looking picture as well… No really, this bag is an insult for bags, and nothing can make me change my mind. The only thing about this bag that’s right is the name… It really looks like it’s made of the leftovers of boxing shorts. I mean, even a girlfight fanatic wouldn’t carry this around, or am I wrong? In the sea of bags of all kinds, shapes and colors, there are many items much more worthy of spending $680 on them than this one. Who would buy this? Hahaha… And it actually has stripes on it’s sides… Imagine seeing your boyfriend mistaking it for his shorts and trying to get into it. And let me tell you, the satin will get torn in that case… Maybe this bag really was a pair boxing shorts somewhere in the past… Ahhh…

As I said it’s made of satin and the open top reveales mesh lined interior featured with center and side zipped pocket.

Jean Paul Gaultier Eperon Horsebit Jewelry Hobo

Hey ladies, look what I found… It’s another great daytime hobo shaped bag. And now with a great price tag since it is on sale at Eluxury. This is the kind of style that, when it comes to bags, a woman can never have enough of. Just think of all the occassions and different situatons an average woman has to go through in just one week and you’ll get the idea. It’s not that I’m saying that you can’t have just one bag to get you through al that, but you also can’t say you don’t want as many of them as you can have :). You know that feeling when you know you can, maybe you don’t have to, but you can… That’s what I’m talking about. I know I can carry the same bag for a month when running my daily errands, but I also know that I can change it whenever I want to and I love that feeling.

This hobo features superb grained black leather, detailed with a polished brass logo engraved horsebit which secures the shoulder strap of a 13″ drop, making the bag easy on your shoulder which is a big plus. Interior is logo jacquard lined with a zip pocket and is closed with a zip top closure.

With this lowered price, I’m sure many of you bagddicts will take it into a consideration.

Jean Paul Gaultier “Le Privè Gabardine Bag”

I noticed that the house of Jean Paul Gaultier kinda has a thing for the style featured in this bag since they have it implemented in all kinds of materials and shapes: totes and shoulder bags; gabardine, leather or even tartan if you like it. Eventhough I like the shape and the material in this handbag, I cannot escape the impression I got when I first saw the bag which was-”MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!” I mean, doesn’t this trench style overlay remind you of Darth Vader a bit too much?

I really do not know what to make of this bag. I really like the shape, I just love the combination of khaki and brown and I love the material. Even if the overlay didn’t remind me of Darth Vader, I am not sure I would like to wear my trench coat and have a bag literally match my outfit. I really do not know.. At first I didn’t like it, since it reminded me of you know who, but as I looked at it I realised all the things above I really liked.

I have a feeling I will not grow to like this key detail, which makes me kind of sad because I would not hesitate to buy this shoulder bag if it was somehow differently detailed. I do not have one single thing against the belt detail at the bottom of the bag but the other things are just one bit too much imho. I can only hope the designers at Jean Paul Gaultier will make a bag with the same shape but without the trench overlay. Perhaps I could get over the trench thing with the black version where it isn’t as noticable..

Jean Paul Gaultier Large Nylon Zipper Bag

I totally love this bag. It is so easy on the eye, easy on the shoulder and it is an all-time casual bag for sure. I am going through my imagine-me-and-you process right now and I see this bag as my perfect companion when I shop, when I stroll around town, even when I’m on a short getaway.

The bag is made of nylon with ribbed knit trim, completed with two decorative front flaps with snap closures, rolled grained leather handle, fine textile lining, zip top closure and multiple pockets. It’s very sporty and comfy looking and isn’t that the kind of bag we all want and need? I bet you can fill it up with all kind of things and still it won’t look as if it’s going to tear off.

I’m always going from one style to another, sometimes I catch myself being obssesed with clutches, than the other day with exotics, messenger bags, classics and it’s a nightmare when I have to choose which bag to post about first. I am a multi-tasking girl, but believe me, sometimes I feel really lost. Now I’m lost somewhere between small hobo bags, which I predict will be a huge hit this spring, and clutches, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have the eyes for other bags. I have, but I’m not as inspired. But this one did inspire me, being simple, nice and fresh.
