Nancy Gonzalez “Crocodile Boxed Clutch”
Tell me if it’s possible not to stop and stare at this one? First and foremost - the color, then everything else - I simply love it! If it wasn’t for this splashing red color, I have to admit I wouldn’t have made to my to-do list
Being an exotic makes it all that much better, but the color is what set me on fire here. There’s no way you’ll pass unnoticed with this baby. It’s great how the shape and the size of this clutch work in synergy with the color making it much more than just a ”nice bag”. I have to say that besides the D&G Miss Easy Way Ayers Snakeskin Patchwork Satchel which I disliked (even though some of my friends strongly dissagree with me on that matter) I tend to only write about exotics I like. The thing is that it’s not an easy thing to do because there is no in-between with exotics - either you love the bag or you can’t stand it. So why bomb you with every exotic that gets released? I’d rather go post about them from time to time when something really beatiful and post worthy comes along. As for this one, I don’t have to say anything more about it. I made it clear how much I like it and that’s it. A magnetic closure reveals a chamois leather lined pocketless interior big enough to carry only your essentials and nothing else. If you are into exotics, don’t skip on this one, I know I won’t.

Gucci “Pop Bamboo Medium Top Handle”

I’ve had a discussion about ostrich bags with my mother (who is just as much of a bagddict as I am) just yesterday and that was what made me write about this bag today. The conversation took off after my mom mentioned the Victoria Beckhams purple ostrich Birkin bag she’s been seen toting around, and no matter how big of an exotic and Hermes fan my mom is, she says she finds that bag repulsive. I can’t agree. I absolutely love the bag and I love the ostrich leather.
This Gucci beauty is everything but ordinary. The material, the bag itself and of course the price tag… Do we really need to comment on those? The shape and the size of the bag are nothing new. If you don’t like it because of that I can totally understand you, but if you like the style and the fact it’s an exotic ostrich, there’s no doubt you’re already drooling over it ;).
As a true bagddict, I must say that Pop Bamboo is a very nice bag which has left it’s mark from the very first time it was released. At this price however, many of you would probably turn to Hermes or Bottega rather than Gucci. This bag hasn’t got that “it factor” that will put the roof on fire wherever you show up with it, and that’s it’s biggest problem in my opinion. An exotic handbag as expensive as this one is has to justify its price, it has to be on top of the game and everything, really everything about it has to be more than extraordinary. With this one you will be recognized as an insider and all, but still it won’t make a true impact.
All in all, in it’s essence, I do like it… But still, this time, the grass IS greener on the other side…

Zagliani “Flash Python Clutch”
I haven’t got much to say except that it doesn’t get any better than this. I don’t know, you tell me… If you had to choose between an exotic shoulder bag and an exotic clutch, both made of the same material and coming in the same color, which one would you go for?
Even though I have partially recovered from my clutch addiction, from time to time I’ll bump into a really fab one and remember what was all the fuss really about. A clutch is always a clutch, and I can’t escape the feelings they evoke in me. Being small makes them much less prone to the overwhelming clutter effect that various details or even the exotic skin material can produce on bigger bags. You can do almost everything with a clutch and it will, if nothing else, in most cases look “interesting” because the size alone makes it cute.
This one is one of those bags which I feel represent what a bag should look like. Everything on this bag, from the shape and size to the skin, is just perfect. I especially like the skin texture which does a wonderful job emphasizing the feminine and soft shape. The interior is suede lined with one zipped pocket. At $2055 it’s not a steal, but it’s well worth the money in my humble opinion!

Carlos Falchi “Fold Over Clutch”

You want an exotic? Here’s an exotic. THE exotic. Carlos Falchi does such a wonderful job making them soooo beautiful that I think some day he might even convert those of you who aren’t exotic fans to exoticoholics. Celebrities love his bags and other renowned designers respect his work. Simple but still catchy and recognizable, you must agree that his vision and work is among the most sought-after recently. He recognized implementing exotic skin on simple shaped bags as a ticket for the high class market, and he has no intention to change his course, which makes me very glad and thankfull.
The first thing I have to say about this one is that it is currently on sale, so the usual, low price is now even lower… Now I can devote the rest of the post to the bag itself… Made of exotic anaconda skin, treated in a way that has given it a metallic bronze color, it’ll fit almost every spring/summer outfit you can think of. With a drop-in shoulder strap you can even pull off a laid back style, which would be questionable if it was a hand-held only clutch. The interior is secured with a magnetic closed flap, fully lined with one zip pocket big enough for placing more than a credit card in it.

Nancy Gonzalez “Large Croc Fold Over Clutch”

I am not sure wheather I wrote it in one of my posts or I just discussed it with a friend, but after we published the post about MJ Lovely clutch I kind of had a feeling the folding flap would be often seen in the upcoming season. So far, I have seen a lot of designers implement that idea on bags of various shapes and sizes and I still love the way it looks, which is why I have chosen this clutch for one of my posts today.
I love it in the vibrant watermelon color, it seems refreshing, just as the name proposes. It is also available in brown corc, lovely as well and more neutral, if you know what I mean. The watermelon one ceirtainly does not go well with any clothing combination, so checking your closet before you decide which color you’d go for would be very smart, since it’s price is pretty high. It is an oversized clutch so you can carry lots of your essentials in it, which makes it possible to make it your day bag as well. It is a wonderful clutch, but due to it’s price, unfortunately not too many ladies will choose to buy it.

Dolce & Gabbana “Miss Easy Way Ayers Snakeskin Patchwork Satchel”

Oh my, even though I’m an exotics fan, this one makes me want to feel very sorry for the poor snake. I’d rather have that snake alive in my closet or in my hand than carry this bag, that is how much I don’t like it. Ok, so they wanted to make an exotic, patching this many pieces in all these colors isn’t the way to go though. If it was made for exotic-lovers like myself, there are many more alluring and more beautiful exotic handbags out there which all beat this one by miles. I simply don’t like, nor would I recomend it, and the price is defintely not justified regardless of the expensive snakeskin.
The shape is ok, nothing special, but it’s not a miss. As for the removable shoulder strap, just like on the other Miss Easy Way Satchels, it is absolutely unnecesary - no real function aside from being a visual detail. But I’ll tell you something, that removable shoulder strap is the only thing about this bag that I like. If you have this much money laying around somewhere, and you don’t know what to do with it, you can buy this bag, hide it somewhere and just use the shoulder strap. Try detailing something with it
Ok that was evil. No, really, this isn’t a bag you really want to have in your collection. Even if you like it, which I totally understand because bags have their way of making us women totally irrational, I would think twice…
The bag is detailed with exterior front zip pocket and a traditional hanging logo engraved metal plate. Interior is suede trimmed, featured with zip and cell phone pockets and closed with top zip closure.

YSL “Muse Clutch”

This gorgeous clutch is a new addititon to the YSL.com Online butique selection, and since we always try to do our best when it comes to keeping you up to date on new arrivals, I started writing this post immediately. Not only because of that, but also because this clutch deserves all the attention it can possibly have. It’s deffinitely time to go on a lookout for summer bags and you’ve got to make some room for various clutches among all those roomy totes which you’ll be carrying during summer days. We have to consider buying sky-high expensive ones just as much those more acceptable-priced ones. That’s why we present clutches of various styles, from various designers and from different price ranges to you here, including Jimmy Choo, Prada, Michael Kors, Kooba, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, D&G and Bottega Veneta, but nothing from YSL which is a shame. But on the other hand, I didn’t find any which were available in the Online store worthy to be put side by side with all these posted earlier. The Belle de Jour clutch is nice but nothing special. It gives me an impression it’s like an entry-level clutch. You know, the one you buy just to say you have something coming from YSL or any other designer, so you don’t want to spend more than $500, which I personally think is sensless. I mean, if it’s about saving money and all, than it’s better to save money during the whole year and buy something TDF, than to save money for 3 months and buy something not worth anything. Then we also have the Square Minaudiere Clutch and the Chain Bag which I find much more appealing, since it’s more wearable and way more charming. But still, none of these made me sit down and share my impressions with you as Muse clutch did.
The colors of the lizard on this structred and proportioned clutch make it ultra alluring. When it comes to bags like this, skin is the thing on which everything depends - it has to be implemented, treated and crafted meticulously. See how the center of the bag looks different than the sides, and that’s not by accident. That alone dictates the color of the bag since it has to emphasize that detail in a right way. You can choose between two shades of pink and two shades of silver among which my favourite is the pink bordeaux one. Muse-like closure is made of brass hardware and the interior is featured with an inside pocket.
SIZE: 5″ x 9.5″ x 1.5″

Dior “Jazzclub Bag”

One of the novelties from Dior this spring is the Jazzclub collection. I am not sure what to think about it, I have just went through the collection and I was not really impressed at first sight. I really do not like the Jazzclub pouch and I definitely do not like the leopard printed pieces. I did however like the Jazzclub white wallet at first glance. The Jazzclub bag is still giving me a hard time figuring out whether I like it or not.
There is something about the chain shoulder strap that does not quite fit into the picture. If the strap was made of leather it would have had a much better chance of getting me to like it more. But, the designers decided to go for the chain, and there is nothing I can do about that. I like the shape of the bag, I like the size of the bag, I like the aged leather, I even like the huge silver metal circle on the flap, eventhough it might be a bit of a hassle to open the bag, but I simply do not like the chain. It makes the bag look a bit cheap in some way and the fact that it is interlaced with leather is not helping improve the whole impression the chain left on me.
The Jazzclub Bag is is presented at the moment on the Dior official site in black and white aged leather versions and in zebra and leopard print pony leather. I really, but really, do not like the leopard version. It just does not look class - period. The white aged leather is also not my favourite, I think it would look much nicer if it were in cream, or something more softer, since the in white version it looks a little raw to me. The black leather is a different story, everything looks great, except for the chain issue that is. The zebra printed version does stand out but I am not so sure about it. I have to emphasize my concern about how the pony finished leather looks irl, since it does not look too classy in the pics, and in that case I would not like the zebra print as well.

YSL and Kate Moss SS08 Campaign - “Muse Two”
I have bought the latest editon of my fav fashion magazine and spotted this stunning ad, and an even more stunning handbag practicaly the moment I started my browsing. Kate Moss is very sought after in the fashion industry, an ultimate trend setter, everything she buys becomes an instant must have all over the world. What got me going wasn’t Kate though, it was the striking navy blue exotic bag Kate is carrying while she is desperately trying to take a little sneak peak at the YSL new collection.
I couldn’t find this beauty anywhere on the internet, it is not listed on the YSL official site yet, but I have to write a post about it because it’s just something I can’t wait to write about.
I fell in love instantly. This is one of those bags that have that special IT factor - it looks like a million dollars if you get what I mean. It is chic, looks top quality and I doubt it is anything less than that. Simply put, it is a definite MUST HAVE! It has a combination of exotic leather, pebble grained leather on the flap and white canvas on the bottom and on the sides which gives it a certain summer glow. When I look at it the picture of a yacht on a summer day pops up in my head instantly, you know the feeling.
The designers have chosen an amazing shade of blue, very bright, as the SS trends dictate, which works just fine in the city as well as in some resort.
The bag is accesorized with gold tone hardware, which looks very classy with the navy leather, and the designers put just enough of it to make it noticable. It is big and spacious so it is a perfect all day bag and it has a handle long enough to be carried on the shoulder as well. The handle is also in croc which rounds up the contrast in leather perfectly, also, the exotic leather on the croc has a bit of a faded effect, not right-in-your-face noticalbe, but it defititely takes this bag to a higher level in a very subtle way.
Muse Two is available in two sizes and it will arrive for sale on the 1st of March when I will write an update on this beauty featuring more detailed specifications. Until then, thank you YSL for making my day!
PRICE: will range between $1645.00 and $1845.00
*UPDATE* get it at Saks.com

Michael Kors “Rehearsal Python Clutch”

I’ve never paid much attention to Michael Kors clutches or to his exotics. I was always a bigger fan of his day handbags, especially spacious shoulder totes, than clutches and evening bags, but I just couldn’t pass on this one. I’ve seen his clutches, many of them as a matter of fact, but not one of them made it to my wish list in the past. This one, however, made it immediately, it was love at first sight and only because of multicolor python. Ok, not only because of that. But the shape, material and everything else about it has already been seen many times, so there’s no need to gush over that, it’s the colors that got me. We’re looking at a perfect clutch for summer time, perfect contrast to flaunting dresses we all love to wear.PRICE: $895.00 @ NeimanMarcus.com
