MICHAEL Michael Kors “Santorini Wicker Clutch”

I’m not quite sure how to start this post, since I’m a bit confused. I can’t get my thoughts together to actually form an opinion on this clutch, if there is any. Should it be laughed at or admired? I do not know, it’s just one of those bags that are different in some way but I can’t tell if it is a total miss or a hit, my mind is blank at the moment. Just imagine seeing someone carrying this bag and catch that very first thought that comes to your mind. You would most definitely stare at it for some time, than stare at the person carrying it, than lower your head and stare at your feet for a bit, than stare at the bag again. What do you actually think of it? I must say I’m a bit struck by it, but let’s take this one thing at the time.

The design is ok, the shape is ok, it is very small but that’s also ok since there are occasions which demand a very small bag. And the last, but not the least - it is a wicker. It is definitely made for summer and if I can imagine anyone carrying it, it sure wouldn’t be during short winter days that’s for sure. It’s a wicker! Our feelings about it aside, tell me why would anyone want to make a wicker bag. Was it like they designed and made a chair and didn’t want to throw the remains so they decided to make a bag out of them? No, really, a wicker bag?

I guess you have to be pretty excentric to carry this one around. I’m experiencing a bunch of different sensations right now. I have to say that a part of me likes it, it is somewhat of a slap in the face to all of other bags with python this, croc that and all, and of course, don’t think that it was a joke to manufacture it… But on the other hand, those studs and gold metal hardware, I don’t know what to look at first.

Its flap top is made of slightly grained leather and you can choose between vanilla or gold when it comes to color. Gold metal hardware is brushed and used on the studs and hinge, which hides a magnetic snap closure underneath. The interior is fine textil lined and doesn’t have any compartment.

I don’t know. As for me, I would never buy it nor I would ever carry it. Or maybe I would, with a purpose of an experimental study of how would people react… You know how that goes with experiments, in arificial, strictly and closely monitored enviroment
