Marc Jacobs “Parker Handbag”
I’ve seen this bag in black color and I liked it, but the fact that it was black was kind of getting in the way. The shape is very nice, and the gold-toned hardware too, but I’m not so sure about the black color. This bag has little knots at the bottom of the handles and besides the gold-toned hardware, those knots are the only details that stand out on this bag and I think they should be noticable, which isn’t the case with the black one. The only detail you notice on the black one is the gold-toned hardware but the knots as the key-details should be the first thing you see when you look at the bag.
Although the black one is great, since black is always black, it is somewhat too strong. This is a day-time, practical and comfy looking bag and as far as I’m concerned, bags of this kind look their best when they are in a more gentle color. I’m not saying the black one isn’t nice because it is, but my choice with this one would be the grey one. Especially because the leather is very soft and subtle.
I’m a getting over my addiction to the totes and shoulder bags so I’m not going crazy over this one more than I should… Or I don’t know, maybe this bag hasn’t got the extra touch that makes a bag a No.1 hit. I can tell that because it isn’t inspirational at all, it’s not like it isn’t charming or something like that. It’s nice and all, but plainly nice… That’s the word I was missing - PLAIN. There’s nothing special and catchy to it, so maybe that’s the deal because it deffinitely isn’t ugly.
