Louis Vuitton “Monogram Tisse Sac Rayure PM” and “Monogram Tisse Sac Rayure GM”

We have already done a post about the new, limited edition Monogram Rayure collection from LV, and we mentioned the beautiful tote from that collection but we could not get the pictures of it at the time of posting. Now we have some pictures on our hands AND know where you can get your hands on it. As of today, it is available at eLuxury. We have been paying attention to the new arrivals at eLuxury, waiting for more items from this breathtaking collection to come in, and I have to warn you, since it is a limited collection, if you have your eyes on it, do hurry and get one because these are highly sought after bags and you will get only so many chances to purchase it, items from this collection literaly become available on the site for a few brief moments before disappearing again.

Designed by Marc Jacobs, the Sac Rayure PM is made of linen and cotton monogram canvas with grained leather trim, and features flat leather handles (love the leather trim contrast), adjustable buckled band which encircles the top which I really like because it allows you to play with your bag’s appearance, a flat canvas base with protective metal feet, fine textile lining and an interior zipped pocket.

The only thing that gets into the way for me is the open top issue. I have written about this over and over and over again, just as much as I mentioned my logo issue. I will not be elaborating anything this time, and I have to say that this time it does not really put me off, and this is due to the adjustable band. Eventhough I haven’t had a chance to see this bag irl, I bet it can be tightened enough to decrease my stress levels regarding that issue, without looking just wrong.

The handle drop seems long, which would allow you to carry this bag any way you want - on your shoulder, on the crook of your elbow or as a top handle bag, and no matter which way you go for, it will look just amazing.

The GM version has blue and white stripes, instead of orange and white ones the PM has. It is also a bit different in terms of the band that encircles the bag, which weawes through the top and allows you to adjust the gusseted sides of the bag. Also, the handles are rolled and have no trim and the top is open, just like in the PM version, but has a snapped tab closure which I prefer more than plain open top.
