Louis Vuitton Griet - Mirage, Damier Canvas, Monogram Canvas and Multicolore

LV Monogram Griet   LV Multicolor Griet   LV Damier Griet

This isn’t just any kind of post. This is a homage to GRIET. Remember when I say that you can be proud to witness these bags become true icon bags. You dislike Mirage? I give you Monogram. You don’t like it? How about Multicolore Griet? Or maybe the Damier canvas version? They are all disarming and there’s no escaping it.

I think a lot about bags. Having spent a lot of time thinking what is that “it factor” when it comes to bags, I came to a conclusion. I would say that the shape makes at least 50% of the “it-factor” and other 50% falls on the brand, material and other characteristics. If the shape is appealing, the bag is safe.

Griet has the perfect shape. Width, length, height, depth… Everything about this bag is a hit and that is hard to achieve. Lets face it, not everyone can achieve that. It’s a skill, and multiple skills are what has been distinguishing Louis Vuitton for more than 150 years from all other designers.

Creation of brown and beige Damier canvas took place in 1888.
1896. was the year when Monogram canvas was created.
2003. was the year when Louis Vuitton collaborated with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami on creating Multicolor Monogram canvas.
And this year is the year of Mirage.

LV Mirage GrietGRIET MIRAGE is the bag that paved the way for both Mirage and Griet family, as I said recently in my post about Monogram Griet, and it did a great job. It has been in the spotlight since the day it was released and it looks like it’s going to stay there for a while. It is one of the most wanted bags at the moment and the best proof is the fact that Griet was also released in other lines.

Monogram Mirage canvas is inspired by the artistry of Johannes Vermeer and is beautifully implemented in this bag and decorated with golden brass pieces, calf leather flap closure, patent leather handles and interior alcantara lining.
Alcantara? Registered trademark representing innovative, expensive, luxurious and sophisticated material. It is highly stain resistant and of extreme quality.

Size of the Mirage Griet is 16.1″ x 9.8″ x 5.9″ which makes it a bit smaller then Monogram canvas Griet, but the size doesn’t matter. Or does it?

LV Mirage SpeedyPart of the Mirage line are also Speedy and Musette. Although both these bags are apsolutely stunning, it’s almost needless to say that Speedy is a far more desirable than Musette. The fade away effect really complimets the bag’s shape, making it look rounded and subtle.
