Dior “Gipsy Leather Hobo”
This is a nice and a rather simple bag coming from Dior. After the Samurai collection everything seems simple when form Dior as far as I’m concerned, so eventhough this one may not fit in the category of simple bags to someone, I think it is. And definitely, something new to Dior. We had our eyes on Lady Dior collection lately, both Zoe and I, so maybe this one comes just right in time to steal the focus.
At first I thought the leather was finished by grinding, but it turns out the leather is softly washed-treated, leaving the impression as if the bag is a bit worn out, which fits the idea behind this bag perfectly. I got the idea just by seeing the name of the bag… Gipsy… It’s an A+ for the name of the bag and for bag which represents it.
Dior hit the spot with the rouched bottom and wrapped top handle, making them key details of the bag. These are also the details that justify the name of the bag, because there’s nothing else that is gipsy to it really.
To summarize, I am pleased to see this kind of imagination incarnated in a Dior bag because they sure know how to bring any idea into reality.
