Louis Vuitton “Damier Canvas Hampstead MM”

Hampstead MM, and for that matter, all LV Hampstead bags, were named after and inspired by the a London suburb - Hampestead. It is a picturesque quiet and hilly suburb situated about 4 miles from Trafalgar square. Hampstead Heath is one of the most popular hills in London, featuring ponds around which Londoners find refreshment on hot summer days.

Hampstead is somewhat different from most parts of London, there is no hectic rushing or traffic, which makes these enchanting hills an ideal place to spend a sunday afternoon, stopping for a quick bite in one of the local restaurants or a hot cup of coffee in one of many cafes scattered around.

I really had to write all this as this place left quite an impression on me when I visited it a couple of years ago. The other reason I wrote all this has to do with the bag I am posting about, because when I saw that bag I also saw what a great job LV designers have done. They captured the elegance and the spirit of the place perfectly.

Since Hampstead MM bag has adjustable straps, it can be worn on shoulder or hand-held and I think it looks great either way. The bag is featured with an open top with a hook closure and press studs on the sides, allowing you to adjust the bag’s capacity. The interior is featured with beautiful red microfiber lining, making the bag even more chic. Other features include a big zipped pocket, patch and cell pockets. If you decide to buy this beautiful handbag, you can be sure it will accompany you in many upcomming seasons, since this is one of those timeless pieces. This bag has definitely hit my top priorities list, I would carry it anywhere with me, no doubt about that. It is not the kind of bag that screams “Look at me! Look at me!”, but fits an entirely different category.

Besides Hampstead MM, the Hampstead collection includes Hampstead GM and PM, which have the all the same features except for non adjustable straps in the PM, making it a hand-held bag. Hampstead PM is also a beautiful bag but I somehow prefer handbags which I can carry on my shoulder as well, but that’s just me.

Botkier “Zoe Clutch”

I must admit I first noticed this clutch when I saw it’s name. After I’ve stopped laughing, I took a look at the bag and.. shock.. I actually liked it, a lot. Usually when you see a product, be it a purse, a gadget or whatever, you share a name with, the product is not as appealing as you would have wanted it to be.. At least that’s what has been happening to me, so when I saw this clutch I was, needless to say, very pleasantly surprised.

Again, I do not find this clutch breathtaking or something I couldn’t be able to stop talking about, but as Tina said earlier in one of her posts, not all your handbags have to take the spotlight, leaving you in a back row. You deserve to get some of that attention as well ;). Do not get me wrong, this is a beautiful clutch I would love to have in my collection, and it is special, but it just couldn’t steal the spotlight.

Zoe is made of soft cowhide leather, available in gunmetal and gold. I am a fan of gunmetal and not so much of a gold fan, so my pick would definitely be the gunmetal Zoe. You can combine it with more outfits and carry it in more situations than the gold one. The shape is very interesting. Slightly grained leather gives this clutch a soft look and the flap with contour stitching fits it perfectly. The contour stitching is the lifter in this case and I love the subtle way it does it’s job. Other features include tonal hardware and topstitching, a flap with a custom logo eyelet and a hidden magnetic closure and interior zip and cell pockets.

Coach “Resort Woven Clutch”

Come on Coach fans, gather up and listen to me closely! If you have any money left after the crazy shopping madness we were all a part of lately, and if you’re thinking ahead, this is the bag you want to begin accessorizing yourself for spring/summer. I know there’s enough time left, and a ton of new handbags is coming our way, but at some point you have to start, if nothing else, planing.

I say start with this one because it is perfect for switching from the dull wintery to a fresh summery mood, because of the neutral color of its weaved leather and gold toned hardware decorated belt encircling the bag. You can also carry it as a wristlet or attached to the interior of a bigger bag. If you decide to carry it as a clutch or a wristlet, that’s just fine because even though it is rather small, it can hold everything you need for an easy night or day out.

And you know what? This isn’t much of a night-out clutch. I think it would fit a flaunting dress and flip-flops as a day outfit somewhere nice and warm best… Oh, I can’t wait for summer… I just love these kinds of bags, small and cute, swinging on my wrist while I walk carelessly around a seaside resort…

Furla “Virginie Grande Hobo”

Ok, back to hobo bags. I think it’s time to start paying more attention to spring/summer-ish bags. It’s not the bag style that is the most important when talking about them, but the color. Which ever style you go for, the color has to be light, fresh and fun. Whether it is a simple bag, or a detailed pattern one, the color has to be matching the style, and the occasions the bag is meant for. I know this bag fits the autumn outfits as well, but something about the soft leather in this color just screams spring…

The hobo shape of this bag is a kind of a guarantee that it’s spacious inside, and more than practical with its shoulder strap, which allows you to wear it as a messenger bag as well. The shoulder strap is adjustable from 14″ to 16″ which is great, because many times when you are walking around town, carrying a bag on your shoulder, you would give anything just to be able to put it across your body so you can continue your walk more relaxed and unburdened. Conveniently, the interior is fully lined and featured with an inside pocket so you can organize your stuff more easily.

Versace “Embroidered Shoulder Bag”

Were you ever in a mood for something a bit different then you would normally go for? Is there anything you kind of like even if that doesn’t fit your style or personality? Did you ever catch yourself finding a person who is totally different from you, somehow more than an acceptable companion? Get the idea?

Those kinds of situations can be more than confusing, because you don’t always know what to think of them. That’s just what’s happening to me right know so lets be honest. I’m not much of a Versace handbags fan. I’m not much of an edgy bagddict or edgy when it comes to fashion in any way, but from time to time I do wish to be a bit bolder.

Something is certain, not everyone can afford being reckless. I’m thinking about it pretty much recently, in fact ever since I’ve seen Louis vuitton - Richard Prince collaboration. The conclusion I came to when thinking about it is that I would like to have every one of that bags in my collection. I’m not putting them side by side to Hermes Birkin, LV Griet, Chanel 2.55 and those kind of bags, but there deffinitely is something about being different and extravagant. That goes for this Versace too. It’s not as weird and different, but it definitely isn’t a classic that suits everyones taste.

We’ve seen so much of patent this year that we most likely won’t be craving for it for some time, we can definitely say this was a patent-year. Due to the tendency towards patent, we’ve been witnesses of, on one side beautiful, and on the other side, horrid accessories, and deffinitely found at least a few of patent leather handbags this year that are now in our collection.

Here we have a patent leather handbag coming from house of Versace, which is predictable when it comes to accessories. We know what kind of style to expect - irrational, visionary and excentric. When it comes to this handbag I’m not sure what to tell you. I felt attraction for immediately but decided to pass on it. Then something made me take another look and then I realized I couldn’t say no to, if nothing else at least posting about it. There is something to it, but what is it? I’m really confused, you know?!

I can’t see myself making this my every day bag, matching outfits to it like I do with all my newcomers. I can imagine having it somewhere knowing that I have it if the right opportunity for bringing it out comes up. Because it isn’t ugly or repulsive, it can make it’s way to the group of usable accessories. The only thing you have to make sure is that you don’t try to accessorize it to, for an example, a fur coat… That would be way too much. But, a leather jacket, dark trousers… I think that could work…

Anyway… take your time, maybe you’ll get to like it eventually because this isn’t a bag that hasn’t got any fans, more like one that has a certain group of them somewhere out there.

Tanner Krolle “Starla Metallic Python Clutch”

Was this someones elaborate so it had to be binded… kidding… I mean, I’m not kidding, I’m serious, but I don’t want you to think I don’t like it when I haven’t even got started yet…

I can definitelly say this one brought a smile to my face, just like the Python Sudie from Tanner Krolle I posted about did. I like it, I like the idea behind it. It’s different and catchy. You won’t see many people carrying it, that’s for sure, and that’s because of it’s price and just as much because of it’s look. And you won’t find a bag similar to this one any time soon.

The interior isn’t useful because of the space that’s left once when the bag is opened, but you can put your car keys, cell phone and some money in it, which is practically everything you need when you are going out, because lets face it, this is a night-out-clutch, not the one you’ll take out for lunch with your girlfriends.

The color fits the metallic python skin, enhancing it’s virtue as a material especially when it comes to clutches and the silver metal hardware is acceptable for framing this bag in this kind of way. And I like the way it is framed, I really do, I just don’t know why is it making me laugh, but that’s, I guess, me being silly again which is nothing new… Back to the bag… The binded bag… Good one, good one…

No, seriously, I like it, it’s different in the best way it could be. Since everything about it is seen for like a million times now, the top is the last chance to make difference… and difference it is … The metal plate on the top is logo-engraved, leather whipstitched, hinged on one side and also used to open the bag with snap closure.

Louis Vuitton “Monogram Canvas Palermo GM”

After all this craziness in the past few days, I really feel like taking it slow, but I know that nothing can stop us girls from checking out what’s new in the accessory world on a regular basis, so don’t think I forgot about you.

When I said I feel like taking it easy, I really meant it. And this one says it all… It’s not all about partying 24/7 these days, so you might want to consider getting yourself a bag that’ll carry you through family-visits, lunches and gift-shopping… And you might also take into consideration a bag that won’t make you feel amiss next year this time. All that and more made me think of this new arrival at eLuxury…

It comes in Monogram Canvas and it is slightly pleated at the top, which makes it look more comfy and charming. That’s a nice idea to implement on a bag of this size because without it, it would look plain and boring. This way it is a nice day time bag made to be carried in whichever occassion you can think of, from work and bussines lunches to after-work shopping. It also has a removable and adjustable shoulder strap which always comes in handy. Also, the capacity is more than appropriate for those occassions because only God knows what a woman can come to think of, when taking her daily essentials with her, and the biggest failure a day time bag can have is lack of space in it.

The bag is also given a fresher look with the little gold chain pull on a zip-top closure and I’m always happy to see even the smallest new detail on Monogram Canvas bags.

Roberto Cavalli “Acapulco Extra Large Hobo”

I did a post recently about the Large Satchel bag coming from Cavalli and I was rather surprised to see how nice it looks, so there’s nothing strange to the fact that I’ve decided to closely pay attention to Cavalli for a while and the next thing that caught my eye was this hobo.

I already told you that I’m getting over my hobo-tote-shoulder addiction so I’m not as subjective as I was before, but believe me when I say that with this one you can’t go wrong. And that goes for as far as ten years from now.

It’s a down-to-earth shoulder bag with no intention whatsoever to compete for the title of the No.1 bag and that makes it even more closer to my heart. I’m really in a mood for simple and rather demure bags today and this one is just what I have in mind. This bag is so CITY to me for some reason that I can’t think of a better bag at the moment to carry on my shoulder when I’m walking around town. And doesn’t it just fit perfectly our favourite autumn/winter-trousers, white shirt and boots style?

Made in a beautiful, cognac shade of brown textural grained leather with little golden studs contouring the bag, open top which is gathered with a tassel-ended leather drawsting and satin leopard-print lined interior with a zip pocket. Botkier “St. Tropez Satchel”

I was really torn when I was deciding whether to write about the St. Tropez satchel or tote. I eventually decided to go for the satchel St. Tropez because I personally like the satchel shape better and the bag in whole looks more compact. The St. Tropez satchel is a part of Botkier Holiday 2007 collection and it has a warm summery feel to it.

This bag is available in various colors and materials: gold canvas, white and black cowhide and a combination of canvas and woven leather in white or in black. My favourite is the one I found on NeimanMarcus.com in black leather because you can carry it not only during summer, but pretty much any season. However, if you are considering buying this bag for the warmer times of the year, all combinations are great. I personally would not buy the gold canvas version, it seems a bit to much for my taste, but I can imagine a person carrying it and it does not look bad at all!

St. Tropez features woven leather handles, which contribute to the summery feel, a flap with a hidden magnetic closure and oxidized copper hardware. The interior is featured with jacquard logo lining and zip and cell pockets. The handle drop is 5,5″, making this bag fall into the hand held category. What I particulary like is how the hardware is not very noticable, how the designers focused on the topstiching details, making them the key detail of the bags, practically leaving out the hardware.
