Louis Vuitton “Neo Cabby”

This town bag comes in two colours and two sizes. You can choose between GM and MM size and blue or black denim. You don’t have to worry too much over deciding which size to get because the shape of the bag is flattering anyone’s frame.

The monogram denim canvas is given a vintage look by bleaching and stonewashing. Due to that procedure, small differences in colour between the same products are normal and tolerable. If you notice that the logo is brownish and has dirty look though, you should go back to the LV store for comparison, and if your bag is defected you will be given a new one. The denim canvas is strong and durable, but there are some things that you can do to prolong your bag’s good looks. Louis Vuitton on its official site recomended how to handle the bag so check it out.

After sharing some basic info, its time to get personal because I can not look at this bag or write about it without saying I am utterly and totally enchanted with it since the first time i saw it. I had that feeling you all “bagddicted” people have when you see a bag that is totally “YOU” … Chills down my spine… Hand-held? No problem…

Since both MM and GM have same size handles, you might have problem putting those over your shoulder if your frame isn’t rather petit. But carrying it over the crook of the elbow gives you that chic and comfy look, the look this bag is made for.

About the adjustible and removable strap - in blue denim version the strap comes in natural cowhide trimmings and grained black calf leather in black denim version. Personally, the grained black calf leather is exceptional. The GM has a longer strap than MM which allowes you to wear GM as a messenger bag, although that doesn’t mean you can’t wear MM as a messanger bag too. You can, but it’s not as snug… I find it not so appealing to wear MM on a strap as a messenger bag not because the strap is short, but because the buckle on the strap rubbing on my collar bone incommodes me. But then again, the bag looks great having it carelessly fall over. Adjustable side buckle straps allow you to expand your bag for a bit if necessary. This bag also features a zipper closure, aged-gold brass pieces and saffron microfiber lining. Inside there is a patched pocket and a cellphone pocket.

You can’t wear this bag the wrong way, you just have to find a way that fits you best because this bag is designed to transform and match different styles and in different occasions.
Less noticable logo won’t be as “head turning” as Louis Voutiion Mirage Speedy will, but be sure that those who recognize the bag you are carrying will also recognize you as a chic, free-ranged woman who knows how to express herself.

Dior “Jeanne Small Hobo”

The thing that brought my attention to this bag is the shiny smooth calf leather mixed with suede trim on the sides and on the top of the bag. Maybe those little aged-golden studs too. Maybe the whipstitched detailes and that chain strap with a leather handle that give this bag that edgy feel, too? But, then again, did you see the shiny leather on that bag?
Ok, back to reality.

It’s been a long time since a Dior handbag had such influence on me. I’m not a fan of Dior Logo so we can instantly cross that collection out, and I’m also not much of a Dior Lady collection fan. Cannage, Gaucho and Jeanne collections do contain some items that I can associate with, and if I had to choose which collection I prefer it would be the Jeanne collection. There’s also the Samurai 1947 collection - the shoes are exceptional, but the bags, as visionary and as beautiful as they are, just don’t quite fit into my perspective. 

At first Jeanne Small Hobo seems rather small but that’s only a deception. The bag is acctually quite big, but if you haven’t seen it IRL or in a picture with a model carrying it, you would probably, taking into account that the name of the bag itself had influence on your perception and how thin this bag is, get the impression of this bag being a small, evening bag. The interior features convenient pockets (a zipped pocket, cell pocket and a patch pocket) and logo jacquard lining. The a foldover leather flap with link chain that tucks into a suede band on the front of the bag, is securing the open top.

Thanks to it’s subdued and simple look this bag is my favourite from Dior.

Michael Kors NEW Arrivals - ID Chain Tote And Satchel

Trying to keep up with everything designers are introducing these days is impossible. And it’s not just that, now is the time when everything, including the bags, is on sale. I receive mass of information throughout the day about ongoing sales or new arrivals and trying to select which one might be more interesting than the other is very hard. I follow my instict  in hope you will, at least, meet me half the way. That’s how earlier today I was informed about brand new arrivals from Michael Kors. My expectations were not big but my surprise after seeing these two was.

One is a tote and the other is a satchel. These are roomy and practical every-day bags that will suit almost every outfit you can think of. Between these two I would always go for the tote because of it’s comfortable shape - you don’t want your bag to incommode you in any way and bags of this shape are ideal for all you busy-bees.

Ok, so, my favourite, the tote, is available in black, white and brown leather with a chain and ID plate on the front and a draw-string with a snap closure on top.

ID Chain satchel is available in white and brown leather, also featured with a chain and ID plate on the front and the draw-strings are tasseled. These tasseled draw strings are the detail I particulary liked about this satchel, because they lift the bag from serious to energetic, youthful and in-motion.

Anya Hindmarch “Loose Pocket”

The thing I love about Anya Hindmarch’s work is the uniqueness and the “must have” factor she manages to achieve using inovative details. That is the thing that distinguises her from all other designers and the thing that makes you to WANT her product. A pocket would normally be on the bottom of your shopping list, after you have already found the new bag for this season. But “Loose pocket” is something I would put on top of that list.

“Loose pocket” is made of soft calf leather covered with a thin layer of metallic film to achieve the metallic look. The front of the pocket features an embossed logo and an embossed funny saying. This caption is the thing that instantly made me WANT this pocket! You can choose from numerous phrases, but I liked these the most: divorce money, face repair kit, girlie stuff, shoe money, cruise fund and receipts London/New York. I found most of them hillarious and they lifted the pocket to a higher level.

“Loose pockets” also feature suede lining and zip closures with a dangling pendants. Bottom sides are sewed up and the edging is scalloped which gives the pocket a chic feel.

As recomended on Anya Hindmarch offcial site, you can carry this pocket as a wallet during the day and as a purse at night. Taking versatility and the inovative sayings into account, no wonder “Loose Pocket” made it’s way to the Must Have category on the official Anya Hindmarch site.

“Loose pockets” come in various colors: navy, pewter, gold, vine, pink, silver and bronze. Take your pick! If you do not like the embossed sayings, which I personally think are amazing, there is also a plain version of “Loose pockets”, featurnig only the embossed logo on the front.

Prada “Tessuto Fiocco Bow Clutch”

So… This one did catch my eye. I went through all that imagine-me-and-you process and the scenario was promising. I liked the inovating way of carrying it, as a matter of fact I stil do, I still like the bow detail and the way it fits my hand, the sporty-chic way it falls over my body, but still, at the turning point, I decided to pass this one.

It was something about the leather that made me not like this bag all that much. I don’t like saying it, considering it’s a Prada, but the leather seems cheap and there’s no escaping it. It’s too bad because at a certain point I really was head over heels with this one.

Deatchable shoulder strap, zip top, gathered front from resort collection. This bag is available in aquamarine and black version.

Louis Vuitton “Mahina”

There’s something strange when it comes to LV. It’s like you are either crazy over every bag they make or you cant’t stand looking at them. Not many people are somewhere in the middle. Some are annoyed by the logo, some by the price, some by the shape or availability… Each of their lines have something about it that’s not likable, except Mahina. There’s not a person that can say anything about that bag except that it is beautifully shaped, the material is superior and the craftsmanship is astonishing. Just imagine how much time is spend on perforating logo on every bag so precisely.

Mahina is definitely a huge hit regardless of it’s price, it’s worth spending all your bag-savings and it’s worth saving money for.

Now, there is also a Mahina-shaped Monogram Denim XL bag in blue and black, and (scream) I’m head over heals with that black one! It’s happening again. I felt the same thrill when I saw Neo Cabby in black and I just had to have it! It’s all about that shape I guess. It’s really complimenting every womans figure, it’s shaped very soft, pleasant and I can almost feel it melting with my body.
Anyway…

Back to Mahina… You can choose between smaller and bigger versions, both very big and spacious; white and black in colour, both stunning.

YSL Large Muse Croc

Remember the last post about YSL Limited Edition Transparent Downtown when I said that everything you want to know about that bag you can find out scrolling the site up and down and from left to right? I didn’t mention any side-effects untill this happened to me so I’ll mention it know… You might easily get lost among all those gorgeous bags over there… And wouldn’t it be nice to really get lost among them??!!

I was lost for a while but than I found myself looking at the Muse… and not just any Muse… THE Muse… Croc Muse… It reached the IT-status the minute it was released. You know how being born in a royal familiy as a daughter of the king and queen immediately puts the little princess on a throne? There’s absolutely nothing to hold against this bag… The shape is feminine, simple and classy, and the way that everything is materialized together in exotic crocodile leather makes this bag a huge hit. And an all-time bag.

YSL LIMITED EDITION Transparent Downtown

This bag is exclusively available at YSL.com and priced at $1395,00. Transparent Downtown is a Medium Vinyl bag with side-zip closure, brass hardware and front pockets. Size of the bag is 14″ x 10″ x 1,5″ and it’s a top handle. And it’s transparent. And it’s downtown. Just kidding! HM… Downtown had some issues over being accepted because it was rather hard to get used to another IT-bag from YSL after the Muse came out. This is because Muse is a simple classic and Downtown is a little edgy.

YSL’s goal was and still is to make a lasting series of IT-bags. That’s why so many versions of Downtown were made even though at first they weren’t well accepted. After a while it made it’s way to celebrity-top-list-accessory and in the meantime YSL made small design changes of the bag, used different colours and materials and also a lot of money, effort and time was invested into making this bag an all-time must have and that’s how it’s value was insured.

This Transparent Downtown bag is the latest redesign and it’s also a limited edition so you can be sure that with this one you’ll be recognized as a true fan and a “fashion insider”. Keep in mind that as a “fashion insider” you might have to put this bag aside in some time because see-through accessories are ok at the moment but my predicton is the style will soon be worn out. That’s why I was surprised to see Downtown designed this way…

Chloe “Heloise” - NEW!!!

So this is what Chloe has planed for us for this winter and may I say it was expected. Re-designing the IT bag means a hit almost every time , and it is a hit for Chloe this time. Heloise belongs in the type of bags to which you have to get used to and I did when in Milan recently, as I studied it quite thoroughly. I was attracted to this bag from the first time I saw it and it was a rather inexpicable attraction because I couldn’t really tell whether I liked it or not. Looking at the new ones made me realize I do like it. It was this spring that I saw the Heloise in tan lambskin which made me do that imagine-me-and-you thing, and although I liked it, I somehow couldn’t imagine myself carrying it. But I can imagine myself with these ones, especially with the gold lambskin one which is absolutely stunning.They also come in python and in metallic python version which are also extraordinary.

These bags are available in Chloe stores only, which makes them a bit unavailable and thus even more desirable.

Hermes ” Garden Party Handbag Orange “

This really is everything its name says it is - a garden party handbag, and may I say, also a beach bag, though I doubt you would feel comfortable dragging it around stuffed with sun-lotions, sun-blockers, wet swim suits and all those things a girl needs vacationing. It’s not just about hitting the beach and relaxing in the sea anymore, now it’s about what bag you’ll be seen carrying for that occasion and don’t think a simple, practical one will fit present criteria. Just kidding, maybe I exaggerate a little bit, but there is something to it…

Back to the bag… I’d say your bag-collection would be pleased having this one as a part of it, not only because it’s nice, but it’s also high-quality and a simple item - notice there’s no logo, and nothing extreme to it, so there’s nothing standing between you making this bag your companion for many spring/summer seasons to come… except the price maybe.
